Positive COVID-19 cases in the state increased by just more than one-hundred and seventy over the weekend to a total of 2212.  One more death from the virus was also reported Sunday by the state Department of Health – a male from Minnehaha County.  

The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 increased as well to a total of 1257, and 64 people are currently hospitalized.  

The state reports Lake County currently has four positive COVID-19 cases, with two of them recovered.  Lake County has had 123 negative tests so far.  

As far as area counties, Moody County has three positive COVID-19 cases, with one recovered.  Miner County has one positive case, and McCook County has four positive cases with three recovered and one death.  There are no positive cases reported in Kingsbury County.  

According to Sunday’s data from the state Department of Health, Minnehaha County now has 1854 positive COVID-19 cases, and Lincoln County has 128.  The two counties together account for nearly 90-percent of all of the state’s positive cases.
