The South Dakota Health Department has begun weekly COVID-19 updates impacting the state’s K-12 schools, accredited universities and technical colleges.

State Epidemiologist Dr. Joshua Clayton says as of Monday there are 70 COVID-19 cases statewide in the K-12 system.

Clayton says there have been 71 cases reported so far for universities and technical colleges in the state.

Each school district, university or technical college is responsible for the manner it chooses to report its own detailed COVID-19 cases and information.
