State DOT puts spring load limit restrictions in place on Highway 81

The state Department of Transportation has put spring load limit restrictions in place on a portion of U.S. Highway 81.  State officials have posted a load limit of five tons per axle on Highway 81 for 22 miles from its junction with Highway 34 at Madison north to its junction with Highway 14 south of Arlington.  The effective date of the load restrictions is determined by weather and road conditions.
