State DOH updates school COVID-19 information

The state Department of Health on Monday provided updated information on the number of positive COVID-19 cases within the state’s K-12 schools, as well as the state’s colleges, universities and technical colleges.  

As of Monday, the state reports 963 total positive COVID-19 cases in K-12 schools.  678 of them are reported as recovered.  State Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton said that last week, an additional 261 cases were reported.  

As far as the state’s colleges, universities, and technical colleges, the state reports 1172 total cases as of Monday, with 1043 of them recovered.  

At Dakota State University in Madison, as of Monday morning, there are two active cases reported in students, and nineteen students and employees are currently in quarantine or isolation.
