South Dakota Health Department officials said their goal is to get seventy-percent of those eligible vaccinated against COVID-19.  Just more than fifty-percent have gotten shots so far.

State Department Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon said they don’t have a target date to get that done.

Malsam-Rysdon says they will continue their education on vaccinations.

Malsam-Rysdon says they are using a wide variety of sources for outreach.

Malsam-Rysdon says most clinics are now using vaccines on an “as needed” basis.
