South Dakota Transportation Commission awards funding for fifty local bridge projects
The South Dakota Transportation Commission has awarded funding for fifty local bridge projects in South Dakota, totaling approximately 74.3 million dollars.
Overall, two hundred and sixty-eight applications were considered.
Six applications for “permanent bridge removals” were received and were approved, including one project in Lake County.
Twenty-one applications for bridge rehabilitation/replacement on federal aid routes were received and eight were approved, including a project in Miner County.
One hundred and ninety applications for bridge rehabilitation or replacement on non-federal aid routes were received. Project recipients include the City of Egan, as well as a project in Moody County.
