Sioux Falls man sentenced on felony drug charge in Lake County

A Sioux Falls man was sentenced on a felony drug charge this week in Lake County Circuit Court.  25-year-old Ashton White-Olesen had earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of Unauthorized Ingestion of a Controlled Drug or Substance as part of a plea agreement, in which other charges he faced were dismissed.

Circuit Judge Pat Pardy sentenced White-Olesen to serve one year in the state penitentiary on the charge.  The penitentiary time was suspended by Judge Pardy based on several conditions.  Some of those conditions include that he pay fine, costs, and restitution totaling close to one-thousand dollars, and re-pay his court-appointed attorney’s fees.

Judge Pardy ordered that White-Olesen’s sentence run consecutive to his current sentence. Â
