There are now four nominating petitions in circulation for those seeking seats on the Madison City Commission.  City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers said Wednesday that Adam Shaw has taken out nominating petitions. Shaw joins incumbent commissioners Jeremiah Corbin and Kelly Johnson, along with Jerae Wire in circulating petitions for the Madison City election.  Patrick Mullen filed his nominating petitions earlier this week.  

There are two 3-year terms open on the Madison City Commission this year.  The deadline to file nominating petitions with the City Finance Office is February 28th.

One person so far has filed nominating petitions for a seat on the Madison Central School Board.  Business Manager Mitchell Brooks said that Richard Avery of Madison filed his petitions earlier this week for one of the two seats open on the school board this year.  School board members also serve three year terms, and the deadline to file nominating petitions is also February 28th.

A joint Madison City and Madison Central School Board election is scheduled for April 14th.
