Shaw files petition for re-election to Madison City Commission seat

A nominating petition has been filed for this year’s Madison City Commission election.  The Madison City Finance Office reported that Adam Shaw submitted his signed petition on Tuesday.  Shaw is running for re-election to his seat on the Madison City Commission. 

Friday was the first day that anyone interested in seeking a seat on the Madison City Commission or Madison Central School Board could start circulating nominating petitions. 

There are two seats up for election on the Madison City Commission – those of Shaw and Jerae Wire.  There are also two seats up for election on the Madison Central School Board – those of Richard Avery and Rob Honomichl.  

All city commissioners and school board members serve three-year terms. 

Petitions for the Madison City Commission, as well as the Madison Central School Board, election are due to their respective offices by February 24th.  A joint city and school board election is scheduled for April 11th.
