Shaw files nominating petitions for Madison City Commission

A second person has now filed nominating petitions for the Madison City Commission election.  Adam Shaw filed his petitions with the City Finance Office on Friday. Shaw joins Patrick Mullen in filing so far this year.  Three others are currently circulating petitions for Madison City Commission, including Jerae Wire and incumbent commissioners Jeremiah Corbin and Kelly Johnson.  There are two, 3-year commission seats up for election this year

One person so far has filed nominating petitions for a seat on the Madison Central School Board.  Richard Avery of Madison filed his petitions last week for one of the two seats open on the school board this year.  School board members also serve three year terms. 

The deadline to file nominating petitions for either the Madison Central School Board or Madison City Commission is February 28th.  

A joint Madison City and Madison Central School Board election is scheduled for April 14th.
