Shaw and Wire Sworn into Office at Madison City Commission Meeting Monday

Madison City Commissioners Adam Shaw and Jarae Wire were sworn into office  by City Finance Officer Sonya Wilt during the Madison City Commission’s regular meeting on Monday evening.  

City commissioners also approved a resolution adopting the powers and duties of the Mayor and Commissioners. The duties of the Mayor and the commissioners will stay the same for this year, with the Mayor serving as the liaison to the Community Center’s governing board.  Kelly Dybdahl will serve as public safety commissioner, Jeremiah Corbin as the commissioner of public works, Jerae Wire as the city’s utilities commissioner, and Adam Shaw as the commissioner of finance and revenue.  

During Monday’s meeting the Commissioners approved the renewal of the Malt Beverage and SD Farm Wine licenses for 11 Madison Business.  

Commissioner Shaw announced that the City Finance & Utility Billing offices will be closed Monday, May 8th through Wednesday, May 10th for Employee Training.  The next meeting of the  Madison City Commission will be Monday May 15th at 5:30pm.
