Several Topics Discussed at Madison City Commission Meeting
The Madison City Commissioners held their meeting earlier this week. Some of the topics discussed at the meeting was the first reading of Ordinance Number 1665 which would permit the sale of fireworks within city limits, City Administrator Jameson Berreth explains
The commission passed the ordinance.
The Commission also discussed awarding the Electric Conversion Materials Bid which is the bid on the materials to convert one section of the towns transmission lines from overhead to underground. Madison Utilities Director Nathan Zimmerman talked about the bids.
The city voted 3-2 to approve the engineers recommendation.
The Commission hired Amy Sad as the City Finance Officer and approved an agreement with Brosz Engineering for the 2024 Multi Community Asphalt Surface Treatment Project. Â
The next regular Madison City Commission meeting will be held on Monday, March 4th, 2024 at 5:30 pm in the city commission room in Madison City Hall. Â
