A second death is being reported in the state from COVID-19.  In numbers released late Wednesday morning by the state Department of Health, two deaths due to the COVID-19 virus are being reported, along with 21 new positive cases.  The most recent death is a Beadle County resident.  This brings the total number of positive cases in the state to 129. There are no positive cases reported so far in Kingsbury, Lake, Miner, or Moody counties. State health officials said that there had been a case reported in Kingsbury County on Tuesday, but on Wednesday said that person’s residence was actually Brookings County.  McCook County has had two positive COVID-19 cases, with one who has recovered from the virus.  The highest number of positive cases remains in Minnehaha County, where now 40 people have tested positive for the virus.  

Overall, the state Department of Health reports that 51 people have recovered from COVID-19.
