Runnings Breaks Ground On New Location

Within a year, Madison area shoppers will have a new retail store to shop at. On Friday, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for Runnings at its new location in the Lakeview Industrial Park east of Madison. Runnings C-O-O Dan Herrmann said the new store will be much bigger than at the former Campbell’s Supply location.

Runnings purchased nine acres of land from the Lake Area Improvement Corporation where the new store is being built. Herrmann said the new store will have a lot to offer to customers.

Runnings currently has 55 stores in eight states. Herrmann said that Madison is a good location for this new store.

Herrmann said they want people to be able to stay and do their shopping in Madison. He said that they are planning a grand opening once the store is completed and open for business.
