Regents receive legislative task force recommendations

A task force set up by last year’s state legislature has completed its work and given its recommendations to the South Dakota Board of Regents.

Regents Executive Director Brian Maher said the Senate Bill-55 report will help them focus their new strategic plan.

The task force included ideas like centralizing university purchasing, food plans and computer networks.  Maher said he is aware that legislators may want more than that. 

The final report from the task force and the Regents is due by November first.
