Rapid City man sentenced on Lake County drug charge

A 22-year-old Rapid City man will serve time in the state penitentiary on a Lake County drug-related charge.  Jon Larcher was sentenced this week in Lake County Circuit Court on one count of Distribution of a Controlled Substance.  Larcher had been indicted by a Lake County Grand Jury on several charges in November of 2020.  He pleaded guilty to the felony distribution charge in August as part of a plea agreement, with other charges being dismissed.

Circuit Judge Pat Pardy this week sentenced Larcher to serve four years in the state penitentiary, suspending three years based on several conditions.  Some of those conditions include that Larcher pay a fine of one-thousand dollars plus court costs, and reimburse Lake County for the cost of his court appointed attorney’s fees.

The judge gave Larcher credit for six days he’s already served on the charge. Â
