A long-standing Madison area tradition is falling victim to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Prairie Village officials announced on Monday that they are canceling the 2020 Steam Threshing Jamboree for this year.  The Jamboree was to be held August 27th through the 30th.

Prairie Village Management said a lot of factors went into making the decision, some of which included the well-being of their staff and volunteers and extended personnel and processes needed to provide basic virus accommodations. Also, many exhibitors, vendors, performers, and several volunteers were not planning to take part because of virus concerns.

While many of its events have been cancelled, Prairie Village is open for camping and is planning for other offerings this summer.
