The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 in the state has went over the one-hundred mark – to 101 cases.  In Monday’s latest numbers from the State Department of Health, the positive cases are now being reported in 30 counties in South Dakota.  There have not been any positive COVID-19 cases reported yet in Lake, Miner, Moody, or Kingsbury counties in our area. The highest number of cases are in Minnehaha County, where there are now 28 positive cases currently, and in Beadle, where there are 20 positive cases.  

Community spread has been identified by the state Department of Health in thirteen South Dakota counties.  

The state is still reporting only one death so far from COVID-19, and that 34 people have recovered from the virus.
