Positive COVID-19 cases increased slightly in the state in numbers released Tuesday by the state Department of Health.  The state reports 33 new positive cases, along with an additional 87 cases that have recovered.  This puts the total number of active cases currently in the state at 1015 out of the 5067 total cases.

There are currently 89 people hospitalized because of COVID-19 and 62 people have died from the virus. 

Lake County remains at two active cases as of Tuesday, with 285 negative tests.  Moody County continues to have four active COVID-19 cases, and there is one active case each in Kingsbury, McCook, Miner, and Brookings counties.
