The state’s number of positive COVID-19 cases increased Tuesday by 32 to 320 total.  Tuesday’s numbers released by the state Department of Health also indicate two more deaths from the virus, bringing the state’s total to six.  State Epidemiologist Dr. Joshua Clayton outlined the age ranges of those in the state who have died from the virus so far.

Clayton said that the six deaths have included four males and two females.  He said there have been two deaths each in Beadle and Minnehaha counties, and one each in McCook and Pennington counties.  

So far, 98 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the state.  

Lake County remains at one case, and McCook County at two cases.  Brookings County has increased to six positive COVID-19 cases, with three of them listed as recovered from the virus.  

Minnehaha County is now reporting a total of 165 positive coronavirus cases, with Lincoln County at 27.
