Pesticide Container Recycling in the Area Today and Tomorrow

The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will once again be targeting empty pesticide containers for recycling with collections across South Dakota.   

Containers to be recycled must be non refillable and made of high density polyethylene (HDPE).  Containers up to 35 gallons must be dry and pressure or triple rinsed to be accepted.    Containers that originally held veterinary products, consumer products or home and garden pesticides will not be accepted.  

Pesticide container collection will be held today in Lake Preston at the Prairie Ag Partners from 9am – noon and then move to Howard this afternoon from 1:30pm to 4pm at the Cenex Agronomy Center.  Tomorrow pesticide container recycling collection will be in Madison from 8:30 to 11:30 at Farmers Ag Center and tomorrow afternoon they will be in Flandreau at the River’s Edge Coop from 1pm to 3:30pm.
