The number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake County decreased as of Sunday.  The state Department of Health reported one new positive COVID-19 case in Lake County over the weekend.  Lake County’s totals, according to the state, on Sunday included 48 total positive cases, 37 recovered, and one death, leaving ten active cases currently.  There have been 779 negative tests in Lake County.

Overall, there were 117 new positive COVID-19 cases reported in the state over the weekend.  There were also two more deaths reported – in residents of Minnehaha and Pennington counties – bringing the state’s total number of deaths to 118.  As of Sunday, there are 836 active cases of coronavirus in the state, and 63 people are currently hospitalized. 

In our area, Brookings County currently has thirteen active COVID-19 cases, Moody County has six, McCook County has four active cases, and Kingsbury has two.
