Another positive COVID-19 case was reported in Lake County Tuesday.  In daily information released by the state Department of Health, Lake County’s total number of positive cases increased to 18 Tuesday, with twelve listed as recovered and one death.  This puts the number of active cases currently in Lake County at five, and there have been 623 negative tests.

The number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state also increased by two Tuesday to an overall total of 83.  The deaths are being reported from Minnehaha and Pennington counties.  

The total number of new positive COVID-19 cases in the state increased by 27 Tuesday, and the state reports 773 of them are active and 85 are currently hospitalized.  

One other area county saw an increase in its number of positive coronavirus cases Tuesday.  Brookings County now has nineteen active cases, up from 18 on Monday.  Miner County currently has three active cases, Kingsbury and Moody counties each have two, and McCook County has one active COVID-19 case at this time.
