Number of active COVID-19 cases increase slightly in SD Wednesday

The state Department of Health reports close to 70 new positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the state’s overall total to 3732.  With more than 23-hundred cases reported as recovered, as of Wednesday the state has 1326 active COVID-19 cases.  That’s an increase of 11 active cases.  79 people are currently hospitalized, which is five more than reported Tuesday, and a total of 39 people have died because of the coronavirus.

In our area Wednesday, Lake County remains at one active case with 175 negative tests.  Moody County now has nine active cases, and McCook County has one active case at this time.
