Nominating petitions can start being circulated Friday for city and school board election

Two seats are open on both the Madison City Commission and Madison Central School Board this year.  Friday is the first day that nominating petitions can start being circulated for the positions.

Up for election this year on the Madison City Commission are the seats currently held by Adam Shaw and Jerae Wire.  On the Madison Central School Board, Richard Avery and Rob Honomichl’s terms are up for election.  City Commissioners and Madison Central School Board members all serve three-year terms.

If an election is needed for either the city commission or the school board, it will be held on April 11th.

More information on nominating petitions can be found through the Madison City Finance Office or Madison Central Business Office.

The deadline for nominating petitions to be filed in their respective offices is Friday, February 24th.
