New scoreboards to be installed on city ball diamonds

The City of Madison is getting new scoreboards for some of the city’s baseball and softball diamonds.  City Park Supervisor Mike McGillivray told Madison City Commissioners this week that three scoreboards are being purchased to replace three at Baughman Park.

McGillivray said that there is 14-thousand dollars in his budget this year for the new scoreboards, and he’s hoping to be able to replace the remainder of the scoreboards in the future.

McGillivray said he was presenting the information to the commission now because it will take some time to get the new scoreboards in and installed before the start of the baseball and softball season in May.
