A Colton man has been identified as the person who died Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash southeast of Madison.

69-year-old Daniel Baldwin was a passenger in a 2004 Buick LeSabre that was traveling south on Highway 19 just before 3:30 Friday afternoon and collided with a 2009 Chevy Impala that was westbound on 241st Street and failed to stop at the intersection.  Daniel Baldwin was pronounced dead at the scene.  61-year-old Rhonda Baldwin of Colton, the driver of the LeSabre, sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Madison Regional Health System.

16-year-old Jordan Werner of Montrose, the driver of the Impala, and a 16-year-old male passenger from Madison each received minor injuries and were taken to the Madison hospital.  

All four people were wearing seatbelts.  

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
