Names released in Hartford robbery and shooting

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those involved in a robbery near Hartford and related standoff in Sioux Falls one week ago.  

Law enforcement said two people were shot at a business in Hartford near 464th Avenue and 261st Street.  63-year-old Gerald Gosmire of Hartford was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.  

46-year-old Carey Ludens of Colton was also treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital and has been released, according to the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office.   

The suspect in the shooting, 57-year-old Glenn Nisich, was later shot at his home in northeast Sioux Falls after a standoff with law enforcement.
