A change in formats and venue for this year’s Madison Regional Health Foundation Winter Gala did not hinder the organization’s fundraising efforts. The Madison Regional Health Foundation Board of Directors said that this year’s virtual Winter Gala exceeded their expectations. Board President Jim Edwards said that even without the usual gathering of donors for the event and without their live auction component, they were able to raise more funds than they did at their 2020 Winter Gala. He said it was thanks to their donors, sponsors, and people who sent in donations and entered their raffle.
The Foundation’s 2020 theme, Fulfilling the Vision…from Home, referred to the Foundation’s vision of ensuring the future of Madison Regional Health System and healthcare philanthropy in the communities it serves. In addition to celebrating five years at its new location, those watching the virtual Gala learned about the Foundation and its mission to support Madison Regional Health. The employees of Madison Regional Health were awarded the Foundation’s Champion of Healthcare Award for 2021. A community-wide applause tribute followed the virtual event to acknowledge Madison Regional Health staff, area healthcare workers, and first responders for helping the community through the pandemic.
Anyone who missed watching the Foundation’s virtual Winter Gala can still catch the video on the Foundation’s website.
