The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state surpassed the six-thousand mark on Monday.  The state Department of Health reported 361 new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the overall total in the state to close to 29-thousand and the number of active cases to 6062.  

Two more virus-related deaths were reported in the state Monday, and 278 people are currently hospitalized. 

In Lake County, the state reported one new positive COVID-19 case, and two more recovered cases Monday.  Lake County’s total cases are now at 255 positive, 200 recovered, and eight deaths.  This puts the number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake County at 47.

McCook County also currently has 47 active coronavirus cases, Moody County has 50, and Miner County has 32 active cases.  As of Monday, Kingsbury County has 31 active COVID-19 cases, and Brookings County has 189.
