Not a lot of movement took place in COVID-19 numbers in the state on Monday.  The state reported 61 new positive COVID-19 cases yesterday.  With no new virus-related deaths reported, the state’s death toll remains at 1844.  There are now just under 21-hundred active COVID-19 cases, and 86 people are hospitalized because of the virus. 

Lake County reported one new positive COVID-19 case Monday.  The county has had an overall total of 1165 positive cases, 1124 recovered cases, and 17 deaths.  There are now 24 active coronavirus cases in Lake County. 

Elsewhere in our area, Kingsbury County reported 17 active COVID-19 cases, McCook County had 11 active cases, and Miner County reported ten active COVID-19 cases.  Moody County had seven active cases, and Brookings County reported 108 active cases as of Monday.

The state Department of Health reported Monday that 15-percent of the state’s population have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
