The state reports a little smaller increase in new positive COVID-19 cases Monday.   The state Department of Health reports 197 new positive cases Monday, bringing the state’s overall total to 21-thousand-738.  Of these cases, more than 38-hundred of them are active at this time, and 209 people are currently hospitalized.  The state is not reporting any new virus-related deaths Monday, keeping the state’s total at 218.

One more new positive COVID-19 case is being reported in Lake County Monday, with no new recovered cases.  This puts the number of active cases in the county as of Monday at 34.

Elsewhere in our area, Brookings County reports 116 active COVID-19 cases Monday, Moody County has 30, and McCook County reports 21.  There are currently 13 active COVID-19 cases in Kingsbury County, and four in Miner County.
