The number of positive COVID-19 cases remained fairly steady Monday in Lake County, with no new positives reported by the state Department of Health.  The state did report one more recovered case for the county Monday, which now puts Lake County at 26 active COVID-19 cases.  There have been 172 positive cases in the county, with 139 of them recovered and seven total deaths.  

Statewide, positive COVID-19 cases increased by 173 Monday to close to 18-thousand-900 total overall.  Of those, 2890 cases are active at this time, and 161 people are hospitalized.  There have been 202 COVID-19 deaths in the state. 

Also in our area, Brookings County is reporting 109 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday, and McCook and Kingsbury counties each have fifteen.  There are currently twelve active cases in Moody County, and none in Miner County.
