The number of active COVID-19 cases continues to rise in the state.  The state Department of Health reports Monday that there are 1570 active COVID-19 cases out of a total of 11-thousand-425 positive cases overall.  The state had an increase of 149 new positive cases Monday.  Statewide, 65 people are currently hospitalized and a total of 161 people have died from COVID-19. 

Lake County’s numbers remained steady Monday, with no new positives or recoveries reported by the state.  The county has had six virus-related deaths and currently has five active COVID-19 cases.  

Elsewhere, Brookings County remains at 35 active cases, Moody County has eight, McCook County has seven cases, and Kingsbury County has four.  There are no active cases currently in Miner County.
