State health officials reported 32 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Monday, the lowest daily total since late July.  No new virus-related deaths were reported, and the number of active cases and hospitalizations in the state decreased.  As of Monday, there were 3678 active COVID-19 cases statewide, and 161 people hospitalized. 

Lake County did not report any new positive COVID-19 cases Monday, but did report four more recovered cases.  The county’s number of active cases was at 57.

The number of active COVID-19 cases decreased in area counties also, as Moody County reported 37 active cases, Kingsbury County-32, and Miner County reported 24 active COVID-19 cases.  McCook County had 13 active cases as of yesterday, and Brookings County had 179.
