The state Department of Health reported three additional COVID-19 deaths Monday, bringing the state’s overall total number of deaths to 946.  The state also reported 564 new positive COVID-19 cases statewide, putting the state’s overall total number of positive cases to more than 80-thousand.  There are currently just more than 17-thousand active cases in the state, and 546 people are currently hospitalized.

Lake County reported eight more positive COVID-19 cases Monday and six recovered cases.  This puts the county’s total number of positive cases at 865, with 646 of them recovered and ten deaths.  Lake County currently has 209 active COVID-19 cases.

Numbers stayed fairly steady in area counties Monday.  McCook County remains at 142 active cases, Kingsbury at 109, and Moody County at 103 active COVID-19 cases.  Miner County has 31 active cases, and Brookings County has 471.
