Monday COVID-19 update: 26 new positive cases in state
The state Department of Health reported 26 new positive COVID-19 cases Monday.
The number of active cases decreased some, while the number of people hospitalized remained at 64 yesterday. No new virus-related deaths were reported on Monday.
Lake County reported one new recovered case and no new positive COVID-19 cases yesterday. Active cases in Lake County were at 45 and the county remained in the substantial community spread category.
In our area, McCook and Brookings counties were also listed in the substantial community spread category, according to the state Department of Health with 24 and 77 active coronavirus cases respectively. Kingsbury County reported 12 active cases and had moderate community spread, while Miner and Moody counties had minimal community spread.
