Lake County is reporting a one-day total of 25 new positive COVID-19 cases Monday.  The county is also reporting a couple of new recovered cases.  This puts the total positive COVID-19 cases in Lake County at 562 Monday, with 370 recovered and nine total deaths.  Active cases in Lake County are now at 183, and 24 residents have ever been hospitalized.  

Statewide, more than 900 new positive COVID-19 cases are being reported Monday, bringing the total number of positive cases statewide to more than 56-thousand.  Of those, more than 16-thousand are now active cases and 566 people are currently hospitalized.  One more COVID-19 death is being reported Monday, putting the state’s total now at 537.

In our area, Brookings County has the highest number of active COVID-19 cases currently with 465, followed by McCook County with 157, and Kingsbury County with 121.  Moody County has 105 active cases, and Miner County has 51.
