The state Department of Health reports one additional COVID-19 death Monday, putting the state’s death toll now at 1901.  The state also reports just seven new positive COVID-19 cases statewide.  Active cases in the state decreased some to just more than two-thousand, and the number of people hospitalized decreased to 67.

Lake County reports no new positive COVID-19 cases and three recovered cases.  Active cases in Lake County decreased a few to 43 Monday.  The county remains in the substantial community spread category.  

Area counties did not see much change in active cases Monday.  Kingsbury, McCook, Moody, and Brookings counties all remain in the moderate community spread category, while Miner County is in the minimal category.
