Miss America to visit Dakota State and Madison
Miss America is coming to Madison next week. Miss America Camille Schrier will visit Dakota State University next Friday, March 13th to speak with Madison Middle School students. Schrier will talk with students and inspire them to consider studying for a career in STEM – or science, technology, engineering, and math. Other schools across the state will have the opportunity to watch the presentation live.
Schrier is a doctoral pharmacy student at Virginia Commonwealth University. During the Miss America competition talent component, she conducted the organization’s first-ever science experiment.
Schrier will speak with the middle school students and conduct a science demonstration in the Beacom Institute of Technology on the DSU campus at 10:15 next Friday morning. After that, from noon until 1:00, Schrier will be at the Madison Dairy Queen for lunch, to greet customers, and sign autographs.
