County to Pay New Rates for Juvenile Detention Center

During the Lake County Commision meeting yesterday, the commission acknowledged the Minnehaha County Commission letter regarding the Juvenile Detention Center and the changing daily bed rate which was $257 per day last year but now is increasing to $458.48 for non Minnehaha County users. They will eventually be dissolving the joint powers agreement between Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust spoke about how the county is doing their best to keep costs low. 

Gust said the County will need to take a close look at the Funding Line in the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget
