MCSEF sponsors guest speaker
The Madison Central School Educational Foundation recently sponsored a guest speaker at Madison High School. V.J. Smith is an author and motivational speaker from Brookings who spoke to the high school students about a powerful life lesson. Smith, who also serves in the state legislature, has given more than 25-hundred presentations across the country. Smith is the author of the bestselling book, “The Richest Man in Town”.
Having Smith as a guest speaker at the high school was possible because of an endowment created through the Foundation in memory of the late Margie Phillips. Phillips was a graduate of Madison High School and a founding member of the Foundation. The endowment created after her death is aimed at bringing leadership opportunities to Madison Central students.
