Man sentenced in Lake County on Solicitation of a Minor charge

A Madison man was sentenced last week in Lake County for Solicitation of a Minor.  

44-year-old Keith Bonwell earlier pleaded guilty to the felony charge, for an incident that occurred between November of 2014 and November of 2015.  

Circuit Judge Pat Pardy sentenced Bonwell to serve ten years in the state penitentiary on the Solicitation of a Minor charge, with one year suspended based on several conditions.  Some of those conditions include that he pay court costs, including $2250 to Lake County for the cost of a psychosexual evaluation.  Bonwell must also reimburse the county for his court-appointed attorney’s fees.  Judge Pardy also ordered Bonwell to register as a sex offender and have no contact with the victim or her family, or anyone under the age of eighteen during the term of the sentence.  

The judge gave Bonwell credit for 183 days he’s previously served on the charge, and ordered that this sentence run consecutively to his current penitentiary sentences.
