Make-up days approved for Madison Central Schools
The Madison Central School Board has approved adjustments to the district’s calendar to make up for three school days missed because of weather. During their meeting Monday, the board approved having classes on Easter Monday on April 13th as one make-up day, and the other two days will be added to the end of the school year. The original last day of school was scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th. That will change now to Friday, May 22nd. Madison Central Schools missed two days of classes in September because of flooding and one day this winter because of the weather conditions.
Also on Monday, the board approved the district’s calendar for the 2020-2021 school year. Superintendent Joel Jorgenson said the calendar is similar to this year’s calendar. The first day of classes this fall will be August 20th and the last day of school in 2021 is May 19th. Â
