Madison School Board Meeting

The Madison Central School Board meeting was held earlier this week. During the meeting the board discussed several bills that have come through the legislature this session. One of the bills discussed was SB127 which would revise the requirements pertaining to average teacher compensation and to establish a minimum teacher salary which Superintendent Joel Jorgenson spoke more on.

Jorgenson stated that while Madison is already above the minimum salary some smaller schools could struggle with the increase.

Some other items addressed at the meeting were amending several board policies as well as the school improvement plan. The board also heard a presentation from the Madison Elementary Student Council.

The next Madison Central School Board meeting will be on Monday, April 8th.
