Madison Regional Health System celebrating National Hospital Week

This week is National Hospital Week and the Madison Regional Health System is joining hospitals across the country in celebrating.

This year’s theme “Where Health Comes First” from the American Hospital Association, highlights the adage of every health system and person involved in keeping our communities healthy and celebrating that health comes first.

Madison Regional Health CEO Tammy Miller said the system extends its gratitude and appreciation to its team of healthcare professionals, its dedicated volunteers, and all those that make the system work.

Madison Regional Health System is often referred to as a “hospital”, but in fact is a collaborative system of numerous moving parts, hence the word “system” in the name. There are currently 279 individuals employed at Madison Regional Health in 30 different departments. Some of the services offered include the clinic, the hospital, emergency services, the rehabilitation therapy department, the operating rooms, home health, lab, radiology, medical records, outreach specialists from across the state, facility and grounds maintenance, and more.

Madison Regional Health encourages people to recognize and thank healthcare professionals during this National Hospital Week.
