Madison Recycling Center re-opening Tuesday

The Madison Recycling Center will re-open with its normal hours of operation starting today.  Madison City Commissioner Kelly Johnson told the commission during its meeting Monday that the center will now be open it’s regular hours of Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 until noon.  Madison City residents can drop off recyclable items during these hours. 

Residents are strongly encouraged to use a mask and hand sanitizer, as well as practice social distancing when utilizing the Recycling Center.  Johnson said that the Valiant Living staff working at the facility will be encouraged to do the same.  

Johnson said that residents are still encouraged also to utilize the curbside collection of recyclables in the city that is available to current city garbage customers.
