Madison Reckless Driver Apprehended

On Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at 5:33 PM, Lake County Communications received a call about a white SUV with Missouri license plates traveling northbound on Washington Avenue at a very high rate of speed, passing vehicles in the turn lane. The vehicle was  later found parked and unoccupied in downtown Madison. At approximately 6:20 PM, a Madison Police officer observed the same vehicle traveling southbound near Lewis Drug at 83 MPH in the 30 MPH zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the male driver from Florida was subsequently placed under arrest for reckless driving and speeding.
