Madison Police Speak on Scam Prevention

The Madison Police Department asks citizens to be aware of some of the scams that are going around.  They would like to remind everyone that companies like Publisher’s Clearinghouse will never ask for money to claim a prize. They do not reach out by phone or  ask you to purchase gift cards and give the numbers over the phone.  Don’t be fooled by a scammer who is giving you a deal that is too good to be true. If you didn’t sign up for the prize drawing or buy a lottery ticket you didn’t win.
