Madison Mayor issues statement on city’s COVID-19 response
Madison Mayor Marshall Dennert read a statement at the end of the Madison City Commission meeting Monday regarding the city’s plans in addressing the COVID-19, or Coronavirus, pandemic. Dennert said that city employees have been contacted and given information about the city’s current response.
Mayor Dennert said that the city will continue to assess the situation and make plans accordingly for the city.
Madison City Commissioners on Monday also discussed the public’s use of some of the city’s facilities during this time. Commissioners decided that the City Armory will be closed to any outside use or use by any city recreational programs until April 1st. They also said that they want the Madison Public Library to continue it’s plan of being closed to the public, but offering curbside checkout, also through April 1st. Â
